itJCATS/ODATA - How to book times
Describes the creation of a time booking with it.JCATS and SAP Cloud (ODATA API).
Step-by-step guide
It is assumed that it.JCATS is configured for ODATA and active for the Jira project.
Step | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Open a Jira issue of type Initiative. The SAP project ID field must be filled (see JCATS configuration for the exact field). |
2 | Open the Jira issue (or create a new one) on which to log your work. Check whether the issue is linked to the Initiative via the field Parent Link. |
3 | Edit the issue. Check whether a WBS element is available. If no WBS is entered, please insert it using the select box. |
4 | You can now log work on the issue and in SAP. Select More → Log work |
5 | The it.JCATS work log dialog opens. This dialog can be recognized by the it.JCATS heading.
A Work Description detailing the work steps carried out is also required. |
6 | Complete the log by clicking on Log. |
7 | it.JCATS confirms the successful booking via a temporarily displayed message in the top right of the screen: |
